All digital assets within The Forge Arena are Skins 2.0, also known as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Players can purchase Weapon Case Collections through the in-game store or earn them as end-game rewards for completing a full match.
Each Weapon Case contains a variety of digital assets, categorized by rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary).
When a case is opened, each item is assigned a unique float value between 0 and 1 with 18 digits. The closer the value is to 0, the cleaner the digital asset will appear in-game and in the inventory preview. The closer the value is to 1, the dirtier it will appear. The float values increases or decreases its value to the eye of skin collectors and traders within the Arena.
Each Weapon Skin in the game also has a "Wear" attribute (such as War Beaten, Weathered, Service Worn, Mint, or Authentic) that corresponds to the float value assigned to the skin. The lower the float value, the higher the "Wear" level of the skin will be.
Equip them and show them off in-game.
Trade them to another player.
Purchase or Sell them on a multitude of marketplaces.
Trade them up for a higher rarity item using our Trade-up Contract Tool.

Everything you need to know about our skins trade-up system.
The trade-up system allows our players to burn ten assets of the same rarity using our Scrap utility token, and receive higher rarity weapon case for an extra chance of unboxing something better.
Head over our Trade-Up Page
Select 10 weapon skins you would like to trade-up.
You will need our scrap currency to hit the trade-up button. How to get Scrap?
Once you have successfully hit the trade-up button, you will receive a higher rarity case and the 10 weapon skins you exchanged will be burned and will be removed from the skin economy circulation.
After a successful trade-up, you will be redirected to your inventory page, where you will be able to view your new case, which can than be opened or sold on secondary marketplaces.
The Legendary Knife Case is composed of very unique and very rare knives not available in the collections themselves. The only way to get a knife from the Legendary Knife case is by doing trade-ups.
Trade 10 Epic weapon skins to receive your Legendary Knife Case.
Every time we launch a new case collection, the Legendary Knife Case will have additional knives added to it and the odds will be shifted. The new knives will have higher odds, and the previous knives odds will be decreased.
The costs of trade-ups may change in the future.

Introduction to The Forge Arena Player Owned Economy 101.
We understand that as a traditional gamer, you may have reservations about embracing the latest technological advancements in Blockchain Gaming and NFTs. Many projects in this space seem to prioritize crypto earnings over the actual quality of gameplay, which can be off-putting. At Newgen Labs, we're committed to addressing these concerns by placing a strong emphasis on the quality of our games while simultaneously creating a fully decentralized digital economy that is owned by everyone and everything.
By harnessing the power of blockchain technology, we offer you true ownership over your digital identity & footprint. In gamer's language, think of NFTs as Skins 2.0. In traditional games, when you purchase skins on centralized platforms, they are often locked to your account on that same platform. Unfortunately, this means that the company behind the game can ban you or prevent you from trading your purchased skins, rendering them worthless and inaccessible. Essentially, you lose both the skins and the money you invested in acquiring them.
However, in video games that leverage the right blockchain technology and prioritize true digital ownership, the digital assets you acquire through gameplay are securely locked to your own account or "wallet." Even if you face a ban for any reason, you will still have access to your assets and can freely sell them on the marketplace or trade them to a new account. Once a digital asset is in your inventory, it's yours to use, trade, sell, or even rent to other members of the community.
Moreover, it has become evident that many games have launched Governance Tokens without establishing a sustainable ecosystem and a game to support it over time. Unfortunately, numerous instances have occurred where games introduce a token, witness a rapid surge in its value, and then experience a sudden crash, leaving community members disheartened as they lose their entire "investments." This prevailing issue is a significant challenge within the realm of Blockchain Gaming.
The Forge Arena is an upcoming F2P fast paced tactical FPS built on the Blockchain since 2017.
We pride ourselves as being the first ever FPS game to utilize blockchain technology by integrating the first ever weapon skins with true digital ownership. The Forge Arena offers an unique user powered and user owned experience that is unparalleled in the space.
The game currently has two game modes, Charge & Transmit Competitive mode and Team Deathmatch, both of which are aimed toward a fun, controlled and intense combat experience. The competitive mode is a high paced 5 vs 5 match merging both Capture the Point (Orb Charging) and Search and Destroy (Transmit) modes into one. This allows for many different styles of attacking and defending strategies. The team deathmatch mode is more laidback with a 8 vs 8 large battle experience but still requires a team to win, with the first to 75 frags being the objective.
NewGen Labs is now working to elevate The Forge Arena to an unprecedented level. Our esteemed studio is currently engaged in developing the inaugural Closed Beta Phase, anticipated to debut on the Epic Games Store, home to over 270 millions of gamers worldwide. Powered by the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5 version and the best technology that Blockchain has to offer, players can look forward to an array of enhanced visuals, exciting features, and fresh content!
Our story started back in 2015 when our Co-Founder Artur Minacov started OPSkins Marketplace, the #1 Digital Marketplace to sell and buy your Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Weapon Skins. That product quickly skyrocketed in popularity, and Artur sold his majority shares in 2017 to some individuals who used his creation to make an ICO and create what we know today as The WAX Blockchain — King of NFTs.
From 2017 to 2019, Artur hired a third party gaming studio with almost no experience to begin work on his lifetime dream: Building his own video game. It is at that moment that The Forge Arena was born
The game was the first game to have integrated NFTs before NFTs were even a thing. The OGs on WAX will remember the day we have integrated VGO Skins into the Arena. Over the years, the game has gone through ups and downs, until Summer 2021, when Arthur Rozon (Co-Founder at NEWGEN LABS) reached out to Artur from his home in Los Angeles, about an NFT project he wanted to start together. Artur did not hesitate and moved to Los Angeles right away, where both Arthurs decided that it was mandatory that The Forge Arena pivots to a game with Blockchain and AI initiatives.
The rest is now history, the team behind The Forge Arena are pioneers. The future in the Arena is bright and has the potential of bringing the gaming industry to a whole new level.
Community is the centerpiece of our purpose. Without every single one of you, we will not be able to take upon this extremely difficult challenge. This is why we will always put the community first and we are building our products, together, as one. This is your Unfinished Legacy!
The following video shows all of the amazing moments that The Forge Arena lived through 2017 to the present day. You can see that we have a rich history of being involved in the gaming community since our inception, and we have never stopped believing in the future of this product:

Thank you for using Forge Marketplace.
The Forge Arena is a game that was first created back in 2018. Due to the lack of development and usage since then the team has had to figure out the exact state that it was left in. This was by no means a small or easy task, which meant it took longer than the developers anticipated. There were changes made by the old studio that were never released to the public because of the game shutting down. This means that our team had to find those changes, make sure they were working properly and then we could focus on what we wanted.
From the start the community gave us a sizable amount of feedback to sort through. As we started to really get a hold of the project, we made it a main goal to listen to our community and use that feedback to make the game better. The result of which is prevalent throughout this massive update. The sheer amount of improvements to the project really makes it feel like it’s not the same game that some of us “OGS” played back in 2018.
Making this game a competitive FPS has been the goal from the start, but we also wanted to achieve the casual aspect as well since we want to support all playstyles. The changes we made were carefully thought out and resulted in casual play still being fun for everyone no matter the skill level. The whole team has hit so many milestones in such a short amount of time that it shows the passion we have behind the project. We will continue to show this passion and dedication with all our future updates, with our main focus always being the community. We want to thank everyone who has been here since the beginning as well as all the people who are new. Thank you for sticking with us on our journey to make this project the biggest in the world. - NEWGEN LABS
The “Third Person” Bug has been fixed.
After relaunching The Forge it was obvious to our team and the community that the balance of the weapons were all wrong. Thus we set out to fix the problem not only with a new QA team but with a staggering amount of help from the community. All of this lead to every single weapon being changed to some degree to make them feel fair and balanced.

We felt that woods had too much going on and was too cluttered for players to enjoy their experience. On top of this we also felt that the capture the point was too large for just 5 players so we decided to completely rework almost the entire map. After the release of Alpha 0.1, we found that some values were negatively affecting your playing experience. While we do our best to actively test all new features and value changes within our patches, we are a small team and sometimes it’s important to remember that the main goal is to work in the right direction, not to stress over making the game perfect after 1 patch. Spoiler Alert: That perfect patch doesn’t exist in any game. We hope that with Alpha 0.2 our vision will be seen a little more clearly by all of you. - NEWGEN LABS
Grenade damage now properly doing 150 damage after last patch’s buff, instead of the original 125 damage
Coach is unable to shoot after reloading for a small period of time.
Number of bullets fired in a burst shot is inconsistent and at times the burst fire guns will jam, making it unable to fire.
Burst fire weapons will temporarily be unavailable.
Utility does not throw properly when moving and throwing.
Utility being thrown causes the player to appear on the mini-map for the enemy team.
M1 Reload Audio not synced with animation.
Camera sometimes does not reset after firing a weapon:
Bug is caused by a few separate things. First, it was caused by attachments with Recoil Return Time reduction. RRT for short. RRT reduction has been removed from attachments for now. The other is caused by un-ADS’ing after you stop firing. This still happens and we are looking for a fix. At times, mainly affecting snipers, you will have the bug after firing, even while maintaining ADS.
Khamsin Blade VFX not working properly.
We have put on a temporary effect placeholder for now.
When changing the value for limb damage, we forgot to adjust the Barret to make sure it wasn’t one-tapping people in their toes. Whoops. While the gun is meant to be a power weapon in the second half of a game, it wasn’t supposed to be that strong. In addition, we are fine tuning a few more values and avoiding any big changes on this patch, as we continue to collect data and feedback on everything.

The current Armor system was not allowing for players to have a fair chance at a comeback in our hybrid game mode. The winning team was able to further push their advantage too easily, and it became worse when the winning team didn’t have many player deaths each round.

The Forge Arena is the first competitive FPS video game to utilize blockchain technology by integrating the first ever Weapon Skins with true digital ownership. The Forge Arena offers an unique user powered and user owned experience that is unparalleled in the space.
The Forge Arena currently has two game modes, hybrid competitive and team deathmatch, both of which are aimed toward a fun, controlled and intense combat experience. The hybrid mode is a high paced 5v5 match with capture the point and search and destroy. This allows for many different styles of attacking and defending strategies. The team deathmatch mode is more laidback with a 8v8 large battle experience but still requires a team to win, with the first to 50 frags being the objective.

Hybrid mode otherwise known as competitive, is a game mode that has two parts on each map.
In this mode your job is to capture the point before the other team does. The longer the round goes on for, the faster the point will be captured. The round will end if the point is captured or the other team is completely eliminated. The winning team will get put on Offense and the team that lost will get put on Defense on the next game mode.
This game mode has two "sites" that have a marked area that the bomb can be planted on. Depending on the team you get put on will determine what you have to do. The Offense team will have to try to plant the bomb on the site of their choosing. The defensive team has to protect the sites from the enemy team to make sure they do not plant the bomb. If they do plant the bomb the defensive team will have to disarm the bomb in a limited time frame.
There are 2 maps Origins & Exodus:
Origins is being designed specifically for the unique style of the Hybrid mode of the game, and has two parts to it. One part is the Capture the Point map set out in the partial woods by an old lab that was used for researching the ecosystem around it. The second part is Search and Destroy. This is in the new lab, hidden inside the mountains to hide it away from the public eye.
Exodus is geared even more toward the hybrid game mode it was made for, this map quickly became a popular choice amongst the players. This Egyptian themed map was split into two parts for the game mode, one being to capture the tomb of an old Egyptian pharaoh. The second being to destroy either one of the crypts that holds the cursed Pharaohs of old.
The deathmatch mode is a large non-tactical 8v8 team deathmatch on large scale maps. There are constant fights so you can have some fun shooting enemies as well as practice with all the weapons in the game.
Hangar is placed in (obviously) a large hangar overlooking the lake and mountains. This futuristic map puts the two teams head-to-head in the form of many different play styles including up close, and very far away fighting. Bringing what players love the most together into one map.
Island is a run-down island on the edge of the world. Being inhabited by many different cultures, this map bridges all these stylistic cultures together in this unique map.

Hey, Forgers!
Lights here from the Design team, and I just wanted to say I’m honored to be a part of this team, and thank you to the community for being so welcoming. I was brought in recently and decided my first, big task would be to jump straight into correcting some bigger gameplay issues at hand. I want to help lead us to a better, more positive gameplay experience, while helping to reinforce the game identity of a fast paced, tactical shooter. Reminder to always keep an open mind, and to avoid overly harsh initial reactions whenever change comes. As always, I encourage you all to continue providing feedback so we can continue to work in the right direction. Thanks again! - ImLightsGG
We are delighted to declare the official state of our game as Alpha status. Moving forward, we will be utilizing patch identifiers in the format of "Game State Season.Patch" to signify updates and enhancements. So this patch will be labeled Alpha 0.1. - NEWGEN LABS
This update is focused around finally tackling some long-standing gameplay balance issues within the game. We’ll be trying to solve the lack of diversity in gun usage, weapon balance as a whole, all while completely overhauling the economy that’s focused around our Hybrid Competitive game mode. This is a big patch, so be ready to experience The Forge in a complete new way! - Yousif & Lights
Discord invite link now shows the correct URL.
Also reducing the spam! Chat frequency reduced from 120s to 300s.
Fixed multiple hitbox issues.
Jaws on the player model were not applying the crit damage multiplier for weapons.
Arms were overlapping into the shoulders and main body area of the character causing 50% reduced damage.
Fixed a bug allowing and preventing certain weapons from buying proper attachments.
UMP can no longer purchase ACOG/4x scope.
P90 can no longer purchase ACOG/4x scope.
P90 can now buy the Quickdraw mag.
The main goal of the weapon updates is to bring a slower paced progression system to the game, and with these economy changes, players will showcase more weapon variety throughout the rounds. Currently, this is something that is lacking within the game and we are excited to watch players master multiple guns. Note that not all damage changes will affect the bullets required to kill a player, these are things you will need to test in game. The hitbox changes bring a lot more consistency to gunfights and allow the gameplay to feel much better overall. The weapon updates will also help bring more consistency to the different weapon classes with certain values and their overall identity becoming more standardized across the entire class. You will see this in Hip-Fire Spread, Time to ADS, Movement Speed, and more.
Weapons will now have a value assigned that will affect their bullet spread, or the cone for bullets, while in the air. This will affect jump shooting while in hip-fire and in ADS.
Weapon Cost decreased from 500g to 1g.
Weapon Kill Gold decreased from 500g per kill to 250g per kill.
Damage increased from 20 to 24.
Fire Rate increased from 500 RPM to 706 RPM.
Crit Damage Multiplier decreased from 2.5 to 1.5.
ADS Spread removed.
Hip-Fire Spread increased from 4 to 7.
In Air Spread Offset increased from 0 to 5.
Vertical Recoil increased.
Horizontal Recoil increased.
Time to ADS increased from 0.1 to 0.14.
Full Reload Time decreased from 1.933 to 2.2.
Partial Reload Time decreased from 0.7 to 1.5.

New map added into the game!
Map is currently what we call a gray-box map. It is just blocked out with no textures and currently in the testing stages of development. We are welcoming players from our community to help us test and provide any feedback they have on it.
Map will only be playable in DM to allow all players to learn the map.
Hybrid variation release date TBD.
We want to ensure the playerbase gets a chance to learn the map before bringing it into our ranked rotation.
