The Forge Arena

The Forge Arena is an upcoming F2P fast paced tactical FPS built on the Blockchain since 2017.

We pride ourselves as being the first ever FPS game to utilize blockchain technology by integrating the first ever weapon skins with true digital ownership. The Forge Arena offers an unique user powered and user owned experience that is unparalleled in the space.

The game currently has two game modes, Charge & Transmit Competitive mode and Team Deathmatch, both of which are aimed toward a fun, controlled and intense combat experience. The competitive mode is a high paced 5 vs 5 match merging both Capture the Point (Orb Charging) and Search and Destroy (Transmit) modes into one. This allows for many different styles of attacking and defending strategies. The team deathmatch mode is more laidback with a 8 vs 8 large battle experience but still requires a team to win, with the first to 75 frags being the objective.

NewGen Labs is now working to elevate The Forge Arena to an unprecedented level. Our esteemed studio is currently engaged in developing the inaugural Closed Beta Phase, anticipated to debut on the Epic Games Store, home to over 270 millions of gamers worldwide. Powered by the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5 version and the best technology that Blockchain has to offer, players can look forward to an array of enhanced visuals, exciting features, and fresh content!

Introduction to The Forge Arena Player Owned Economy 101.

Blockchain Gaming and Digital Ownership Explained:

We understand that as a traditional gamer, you may have reservations about embracing the latest technological advancements in Blockchain Gaming and NFTs. Many projects in this space seem to prioritize crypto earnings over the actual quality of gameplay, which can be off-putting. At Newgen Labs, we're committed to addressing these concerns by placing a strong emphasis on the quality of our games while simultaneously creating a fully decentralized digital economy that is owned by everyone and everything.

By harnessing the power of blockchain technology, we offer you true ownership over your digital identity & footprint. In gamer's language, think of NFTs as Skins 2.0. In traditional games, when you purchase skins on centralized platforms, they are often locked to your account on that same platform. Unfortunately, this means that the company behind the game can ban you or prevent you from trading your purchased skins, rendering them worthless and inaccessible. Essentially, you lose both the skins and the money you invested in acquiring them.

However, in video games that leverage the right blockchain technology and prioritize true digital ownership, the digital assets you acquire through gameplay are securely locked to your own account or "wallet." Even if you face a ban for any reason, you will still have access to your assets and can freely sell them on the marketplace or trade them to a new account. Once a digital asset is in your inventory, it's yours to use, trade, sell, or even rent to other members of the community.

Moreover, it has become evident that many games have launched Governance Tokens without establishing a sustainable ecosystem and a game to support it over time. Unfortunately, numerous instances have occurred where games introduce a token, witness a rapid surge in its value, and then experience a sudden crash, leaving community members disheartened as they lose their entire "investments." This prevailing issue is a significant challenge within the realm of Blockchain Gaming.

Weapon Skins

Introducing The Forge Arena Weapon Skins:

All digital assets within The Forge Arena are Skins 2.0, also known as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Players can purchase Weapon Case Collections through the in-game store or earn them as end-game rewards for completing a full match.

Rarity

Each Weapon Case contains a variety of digital assets, categorized by rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary).

Float Values

When a case is opened, each item is assigned a unique float value between 0 and 1 with 18 digits. The closer the value is to 0, the cleaner the digital asset will appear in-game and in the inventory preview. The closer the value is to 1, the dirtier it will appear. The float values increases or decreases its value to the eye of skin collectors and traders within the Arena.

Weapon Wears

Each Weapon Skin in the game also has a "Wear" attribute (such as War Beaten, Weathered, Service Worn, Mint, or Authentic) that corresponds to the float value assigned to the skin. The lower the float value, the higher the "Wear" level of the skin will be.

Functionalities (Utility)

Equip them and show them off in-game.
Trade them to another player.
Purchase or Sell them on a multitude of marketplaces.
Trade them up for a higher rarity item using our Trade-up Contract Tool.

Utility Tokens

01. SPARKS - On-Chain Non-Tradable Currency.

Similar to V-Bucks used in Fortnite, Sparks is your new V-Bucks, but powered by the Blockchain for transparency. Users will be able to purchase the Sparks and use it in our Marketplace/Store to purchase digital assets and trade/sell them on OPMarket.

100 SPARKS = $1,00 USD
Price never changes.
Acts like a stable currency within the game ecosystem.

Supply

Unlimited.
Increases as players purchase it.
Increases as players earn it.
Supply decreases as sparks are used during acquisition of digital assets.

How to earn

The only way to earn Sparks without purchasing them is to get rewarded while completing specific tasks within the ecosystem such as completing a challenge/mission, unlocking Sparks through battle passes levels, as well as winning a tournament/competition.

Trade-up Contract

Everything you need to know about our skins trade-up system.

The trade-up system allows our players to burn ten assets of the same rarity using our Scrap utility token, and receive higher rarity weapon case for an extra chance of unboxing something better.

Step by Step Guide

Head over our Trade-Up Page
Select 10 weapon skins you would like to trade-up.
You will need our scrap currency to hit the trade-up button. How to get Scrap?
Once you have successfully hit the trade-up button, you will receive a higher rarity case and the 10 weapon skins you exchanged will be burned and will be removed from the skin economy circulation.
After a successful trade-up, you will be redirected to your inventory page, where you will be able to view your new case, which can than be opened or sold on secondary marketplaces.

About the Legendary Knife Case

The Legendary Knife Case is composed of very unique and very rare knives not available in the collections themselves. The only way to get a knife from the Legendary Knife case is by doing trade-ups.
Trade 10 Epic weapon skins to receive your Legendary Knife Case.
Every time we launch a new case collection, the Legendary Knife Case will have additional knives added to it and the odds will be shifted. The new knives will have higher odds, and the previous knives odds will be decreased.

As a first test of the staking feature for our digital economy, we decided to add value to our Ascendance Badge owners. You are able to use the staking feature to stake your ascendance badge to earn our in-game currency: SPARKS.

The more badges you stake, the more you will be rewarded.
