Lights here from the Design team, and I just wanted to say I’m honored to be a part of this team, and thank you to the community for being so welcoming. I was brought in recently and decided my first, big task would be to jump straight into correcting some bigger gameplay issues at hand. I want to help lead us to a better, more positive gameplay experience, while helping to reinforce the game identity of a fast paced, tactical shooter. We are delighted to declare the official state of our game as Alpha status. Moving forward, we will be utilizing patch identifiers in the format of "Game State Season.Patch" to signify updates and enhancements. So this patch will be labeled Alpha 0.1. - NEWGEN LABS

This update is focused around finally tackling some long-standing gameplay balance issues within the game. We’ll be trying to solve the lack of diversity in gun usage, weapon balance as a whole, all while completely overhauling the economy that’s focused around our Hybrid Competitive game mode. BUG FIXES ///

  • Discord invite link now shows the correct URL.

    • Also reducing the spam! Chat frequency reduced from 120s to 300s.

  • Fixed multiple hitbox issues.

    • Jaws on the player model were not applying the crit damage multiplier for weapons.

    • Arms were overlapping into the shoulders and main body area of the character causing 50% reduced damage.

  • Fixed a bug allowing and preventing certain weapons from buying proper attachments.

    • UMP can no longer purchase ACOG/4x scope.

    • P90 can no longer purchase ACOG/4x scope.

    • P90 can now buy the Quickdraw mag.

WEAPON UPDATES ///

The main goal of the weapon updates is to bring a slower paced progression system to the game, and with these economy changes, players will showcase more weapon variety throughout the rounds. Currently, this is something that is lacking within the game and we are excited to watch players master multiple guns. Note that not all damage changes will affect the bullets required to kill a player, these are things you will need to test in game. The hitbox changes bring a lot more consistency to gunfights and allow the gameplay to feel much better overall. The weapon updates will also help bring more consistency to the different weapon classes with certain values and their overall identity becoming more standardized across the entire class. You will see this in Hip-Fire Spread, Time to ADS, Movement Speed, and more.

Spread In Air Offset

Weapons will now have a value assigned that will affect their bullet spread, or the cone for bullets, while in the air. This will affect jump shooting while in hip-fire and in ADS.

Glock

Code Name: Warehouse

  • New map added into the game!

  • Map is currently what we call a gray-box map. It is just blocked out with no textures and currently in the testing stages of development. We are welcoming players from our community to help us test and provide any feedback they have on it.

  • Map will only be playable in DM to allow all players to learn the map.

  • Hybrid variation release date TBD.

    • We want to ensure the playerbase gets a chance to learn the map before bringing it into our ranked rotation.
